GREATER PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND AVAILABILITY WITH ROBOT SYSTEMS ENGINEERED BY KOCH

Demonstrating its expertise in the fields of filling, depalletising, palletising, picking and packing, KOCH Industrieanlagen GmbH will again be at this year’s ACHEMA in Frankfurt, where it will present forward-looking robot systems for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Reap all the benefits of modernisation
KOCH has become a byword for robot systems for all factory areas. Not only does the general contractor offer its customers an all-inclusive service package for integrable single systems but also for individual, complete turnkey systems, ranging from developing solutions, to planning, implementation and aftersales service.

The family-run business situated in the Westerwald region is not only specialised in new installations, however, but also carries out retrofits for its customers. By renewing or exchanging individual components, such as robots and grippers, systems can be upgraded to the state of the art. Such upgrades frequently bring with them the additional benefits of considerable increases in productivity and product quality as well. Working on this principle, KOCH has already brought several installations at one of the world’s largest chemicals groups in line with the latest advances. The work included renewing several bag palletising systems and also a unit for depalletising drums.

The robot specialist has the right solution no matter what the requirements, even if it involves system cleanliness and clean-room capabilities, which are a major consideration in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. The type of robots needed and the appropriate periphery and architecture are selected according to the particular conditions on the ground.

Trust, but verify
‘Track and Trace’ is becoming increasingly important for filling and palletising lines. With the KOCH product identification and tracking systems, each container can be tracked from the time it has been filled to the end user. It means that the customer will always know which product is in which container, which container is in which box, and which box is on which pallet. KOCH has already successfully implemented many of these track and trace systems, including in the chemical industry.
