EFFICIENT ALL ALONG THE LINE – KOCH AT THE FACHPACK 2018 TRADE FAIR
The robotics specialists KOCH Industrieanlagen have made it their mission to offer their customers individual automation solutions for filling, packing, palletising and picking no matter what the size of their company and no matter which sector they operate in.
Since setting out as a robot systems house 25 years ago, the Westerwald-based family-owned business has been almost second to none in covering the entire spectrum of packing and handling operations. It is thanks to its across-the-board expertise and the experience it has built up over many years – particularly in designing, developing and implementing grippers – that KOCH has been highly successful in moving all sorts of products in a wide range of sectors. This includes such applications as bag in box and pail in box, which see our customers’ high-quality products packed again into outer boxes to ensure the best possible protection in transit.
Customers who have every confidence in KOCH designing and installing complete turnkey systems include Krüger GmbH & Co KG, Jäckering Mühlen- und Nährmittelwerke GmbH and Arla Foods Deutschland GmbH. And the systems speak for themselves: high productivity, palletising quality and little maintenance required.
Patented steady-state design for non-stop palletising coupled with the minimum of space
One of the exhibits KOCH will be demonstrating at the FachPack 2018 is their patented system “PalletSystem 1250”, which has just one robot picking and placing all sorts of container types, sizes and weights at two palletising stations. What really puts the system in a class of its own, however, is the patented steady-state design: the robot happily continues palletising without stopping even when pallets are changed. Like every KOCH robot system, this solution guarantees maximum system availabilities and optimum flexibility in adapting to any new applications in the future and the consequent requirements – tangible benefits which ensure planning reliability and thus peace of mind.
The KOCH software makes the difference
The KOCH EasyPallet software helps users to manage simple and swift stacking patterns. This includes determining the optimum number and arrangement of the boxes and trays on the pallet, creating palletising patterns on their own PC and then simply sending the information to the palletising robot.
But it’s not just the software that excels, for the standard package which KOCH provides also includes setting up interfaces to the customers’ own ERP systems, enabling them to continually control and track jobs.
The track and trace technology takes the job data and product quantities from incoming orders and transmits the information via the interfaces to the control system. Further downstream operations include filling, packing, weighing, checking and labelling.
Come and see us at this year’s FachPack from 25-27 September 2018 to find out more about innovative automation solutions.
